Our Statement Of Faith ...

The doctrinal basis of Crossroads Church is the fundamental truths of Christianity, as revealed in scripture, including:

The unity and divine co-equality of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.

The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption, providence and final judgement.

The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, rendering man subject to God's wrath and condemnation.

The full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God; His virgin birth and His real and sinless humanity; His death on the cross, His bodily resurrection and His present reign in heaven and earth.

Personal redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death, once for all, of Jesus Christ, our representative and substitute, the only mediator between God and man.

Justification as God's act of undeserved mercy, in which the sinner is pardoned all his sins, and declared to be righteous in God's sight, only because of the righteousness of Christ imputed to him, this justification being received by faith alone.

The need for the Holy Spirit to make the work of Christ effective in the individual sinner, granting him repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit in all those thus regenerated, producing in them an increasing likeness to Christ in character and behaviour, and empowering them for their witness in the world.

The one holy universal Church, which is the Body of Christ, and to which all true believers belong, and of which Christ alone is the head.

The future personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ in glory at a date known only to the Father.

The resurrection of the body; the judgement of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ, with the eternal blessedness of the righteous and the eternal punishment of the wicked.

Our Mission Statement
We want to be Jesus to our community

We seek to do this by pursuing the ministry Jesus announced in Luke's gospel, chapter four:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me
It's personal: Our service is founded upon a living relationship and present walk with God

Because He has anointed me
It's spiritual: We seek to do it in His power, not on our own

To preach good news to the poor
It's practical: There is no better way to help those in need

He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted
It's compassionate: It reaches out to those whose lives are shattered

To preach deliverance to the captives
It's powerful: It breaks the chains of habits and addictions

And recovery of sight to the blind
It's physical: We believe that God can heal in response to faith and prayer

To set at liberty those who are oppressed
It's liberating: It lifts up the down-trodden

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord
It's official: God wants to intervene in your life today!
