YOUTH CLUB
The Youth Club for 1st Formers
and upwards (11yrs+), started in 1995 with about 12 members. We
have had up to around 70 young people, and would average 45 on
a Tuesday night. All members are encouraged to be part of, and
to take on, some responsibility within the club. On Tuesdays we
would cover a variety of activities - Uni-hoc, table tennis, snooker,
other organized games and dramas etc.
Our aim is to see our young people grow spiritually, physically,
mentally and socially. We also try and provide a safe environment
for them to enjoy themselves, with Youth Club Rules to ensure
this happens!
All leaders must complete the Child Protection Course and sign
the Leaders Code of Conduct, and also MUST have a committed relationship
with the Lord Jesus Christ. We are registered with the S.E.E.L.B.
Youth Division and take part in various courses and sporting activities
organised by them, i.e. O.C.R. Part-Time Youth Workers; Child
Protection Policy; Introduction to Youth work course; Young Adult
Development Course; Making Links/Peer Educators; Community Relations;
Cross-Community.
